Ye olde royal gimmick is a tough ask.

Zelina Vega didn't actually do anything wrong with it. Like, she didn't suck as a phoney 'Queen' who thought everybody should bow down at her mere presence. Nah, WWE just gave up on the act far too quickly and stuck her in one of those thrown-together female tag-teams with Carmella.

That decision made a mockery of the first 'Queen's Crown' tournament, and wrecked the purpose of even slapping a crown on Vega's head in the first place. Sadly, she won't get another chance to make a first impression on fans - the Queen Zelina character is damaged goods, people.

When Vega returns from a knee injury, it'd be sweet if she had something new to show off. The first ever 'Queen Of The Ring' winner (which is effectively what that tourney was) is excellent on the mic, and deserves the chance to do more in-ring.

Hopefully, a reborn character gives her that chance.
