During the start of his Hollywood career, Dwayne Johnson signed on to some peculiar projects. At this point, he hadn't proven himself to be a commodity, and as such, he was a far cry from the bonafide blockbuster star that he is today. Whilst in this early transitional period, he likely chose this film to add a lighter side to his resume, but that doesn't excuse its absurdity.

Tooth Fairy is a story about a man named Derek, a minor-league hockey player who is punished for knocking out opposing players teeth and taking a child's Tooth Fairy money. He sentenced to two weeks of serving in the titular position, and as can be expected, this isn't an easy job for him.

Movies that depict a tough-nut taking on what seems like a childish and effeminate role are ever constant in the movie business. Which makes every title that follows the structure feel dated and unoriginal. Tooth Fairy is no exception, and while Dwayne Johnson gets the best he can out of the script, it's probably one he'd rather you forget.
