10 Most ANNOYING Wrestlers Ever

4. ‘Babyface’ Charlotte Flair

Charlotte Flair hasn't returned to WWE television quite yet at time of writing, but that return is imminent. Fingers crossed the promotion has learned a valuable lesson when it comes to Charlotte. In other words, she's way less effective when playing a smiling babyface who just wants everyone to have a good time, enjoy the matches, buy her t-shirt then go home with a grin of their own.

This is something Flair herself has relented during interviews with Steve Austin, but WWE seem convinced she flies with fans as a baby. No, Charlotte is one thousand times more palatable as a heel. That's when she does her best work. By her own admission, trying to be relatable when she was brought up with a silver spoon mentality is nigh-on impossible.

She suits having an elitist mindset. The funny thing about this is that, by all accounts, Flair is actually a lovely person. A quick look at how she's handled the media over the years backs that up - Charlotte does want to make fans happy. It's just that she's best placed to do that when acting as an arrogant 'Queen' for better faces who want to knock her off a lofty perch.

WWE's multiple bids (under both Vince McMahon and Triple H) to make Flair likeable have flopped. People tuning into shows can see it, folks in the stands can see it. Hell, even Charlotte herself can see it, but those calling the shots seem to think she's fab as a baby. Nope, and that'll probably never be the case even if she's winning more Royal Rumbles and titles.

Her smiles have always seemed so insincere and patronising on camera.
