8. Alberto El Patron

As the son of Dos Caras and nephew of the legendary Mil Mascaras, the former Alberto Del Rio comes from one of the most respected wrestling families in Mexico. It’s fair to say he has exceeded, or at the very least met the wrestling world’s lofty expectations for him – El Patron is one of the most legitimately tough wrestlers on the planet.

An MMA veteran of nine years, Patron won his first competitive match in fifty seconds, by giving Kengo Watanabe a broken arm (in this video, you can see Patron attempt a belly-to-belly suplex of sorts, and Watanabe's arm snaps in the wrong direction). He would then go on to win eight more of his fourteen bouts, and was even made president of Combate Americas in 2016.

The very same year, Del Rio left WWE, and was scheduled to begin working for AAA. But he missed his flight to the Heroes Immortales show in October, thanks to an assault from a knife-wielding criminal who ambushed El Patron outside of a restaurant.

Despite receiving multiple sever lacerations on his arms, Alberto still competed in his WCPW dates the same week, just to give that fans what they had paid to see: a badass.
