4. Cameron Grimes

Not every underdog lives in a world where they're plucky, never-say-die heroes that feed off the crowd's support. Indeed, some of them are simply the victims of circumstance, and have to rely on their cunning and ambition in order to get ahead. Enter Cameron Grimes.

The former Trevor Lee has cultivated a look that instantly puts fans on his bad side. The hair, the beard the weird tongue thing and his stupid hat - I hate it, get it off my screen! But perhaps Grimes has a reason to be surly with the NXT faithful: he walks in the land of the giants.

Slotted into the hunt for NXT's North American title, Grimes is, on paper, hopelessly outclassed. Compared to competitors like Damian Priest, Dominik Dijakovic, and champion Keith Lee, Grimes sticks out like a sore thumb.

Don’t let that size disparity fool you, however. Grimes is more than capable between the ropes, mixing high-flying offense when needed with a surprising strength. His deadlift German suplex is incredibly devastating on every opponent he comes into contact with, size be damned.

Perhaps his biggest asset is the Cave-In, Grimes's finishing maneuver. A leaping double stomp to the chest that cuts off the forward momentum of the opponent, it has the makings of all the best match-enders: it looks brutal, it’s an effective counter, and can come without a moment's notice to crush an unsuspecting foe. Opponents shouldn’t sleep on Cameron Grimes, or they may find themselves counting the lights.
