10 Most Believable WWE Finishers Right Now

8. Gargano Escape (Johnny Gargano)

It's not unusual to see NXT devil Johnny Gargano perform a collection of implausible moves that would realistically knock his opponent out instantly. That's the way of modern pro wrestling. Selling has (pretty much) fallen by the wayside in favour of showy moves and impossible kickouts.

His submission finish is an exception.

The way Johnny manipulates his foe's arm behind his head, leans back and then uses their own limb against them is a thing of beauty. It's believably painful, especially when Gargano proceeds to clasp his hands around their neck and pull that too. Everything about the 'Gargano Escape' looks like it hurts.

It probably does, at least a little bit. Anyone hoping to escape this would have to be quite the contortionist. The only choices are kneeing him in the ribs (a tall order given the move's positioning) or biting his hand.
