Shawn Michaels wasn't the only pro wrestler to show up on the beaches of Los Angeles. It's almost like Baywatch -- a soap opera whose primary contributions to the television landscape were a barrage of slo-mo bouncing boobs and absurd storylines that made Days of Our Lives appear conservative by comparison -- and professional wrestling were inextricably linked. That was proven with this episode, which features a whole gaggle of WCW superstars for no particular reason.

It has everything you could want: Hulk Hogan and Randy Savage racing each other on jet skis, Pam Anderson and Yasmine Bleeth giving Hogan's mustache CPR, Ric Flair threatening to close down a youth center out of spite, Vader exploding a basketball with his hands, and this:

It's pretty much the silliness you'd expect from this type of collaboration, and is topped off with a couple of wrestling matches in the middle of the beach. Because of course.

But what makes this stand out from the garden variety cheesiness of most wrestler guest spots is that Baywatch also decided this episode would weave in a very serious storyline about one of the lifeguards getting diagnosed with skin cancer. And the interplay between those two plots is just as subtle as you'd imagine.
