10 Most Bizarre Wrestling Matches Of All Time

3. Hardcore Evening Gown Match (WWF King Of The Ring 2000)

In their prime, Pat Patterson and Gerald Brisco were respected, tough professional wrestlers. The former had even been the first ever Intercontinental Champion, winning a fake tournament in Brazil to bag the gold. That fictional triumph oddly wouldn't be the most bizarre moment of Patterson's career.

By the year 2000, Patterson and Brisco were cast as Mr. McMahon's 'Stooges'. Bumbling fools who did their best to act as trusty henchmen, both legends were admittedly a riot in the role. At the King Of The Ring pay-per-view that June though, things were taken a little too far. Nobody needed to see either man in women's underwear.

Battling for the WWF Hardcore Title, the pair engaged in the first ever (and thankfully last) 'Hardcore Evening Gown' Match. Two elderly men well past their best, rolling around in women's clothing is perhaps one of the most diverse things Vince McMahon has ever asked customers to pay to see.

Mercifully, the ordeal only lasted a few minutes before others ran in and exploited the 24/7 rules of the Hardcore Title.
