10 Most Bizarre WWE Superstar Injuries Ever
2. Vince McMahon Tears Both Quads
Shane McMahon tore his quad doing a leapfrog, but his father Vince tore both while power walking to the ring. During the final moments of the 2005 Royal Rumble match, Batista and John Cena were the last two contestants left in the ring. WWE had booked Batista to win the contest, but it didn't turn out how they had envisioned after a botch resulted in both men going over the top rope and hitting the floor at the same time.
The Raw and SmackDown referees tried to salvage the moment by raising Cena and Batista's arm, but Vince McMahon decided to take things into his hands when he made his way out to the ring. He marched down with an annoyed expression, but his power walk packed so much power that he tore both quads when his knees were caught on the apron while trying to enter the ring.
He just sat in the ring throughout the entire commotion before ordering the referees to restart the match. He underwent surgery to repair the damages and had to go through extensive rehab before he regained the ability to walk again.
