10 Most Bizarre WWF Hasbro Figures

2. The Bushwhackers

As with Repo Man, the same question can be asked here: why not The Beverley Brothers, but THE BUSHWHACKERS?

Look, I'm not espousing Blake and Beau as one of the finest tandems the business had ever seen, but they were a significant and regular feature of early-'90s WWF, and far superior to the boys from Down Under on just about every level. Plus I've a penchant for purple.

But anyway, The Bushwhackers it was, and not once, but twice. Whilst for the first release, Butch has an action shared with IRS and Ted DiBiase, Luke has an entirely unique animation, mimicking the pair's famous/infamous arm swinging motion. There aren't many wrestlers deemed worthy enough of receiving their own unique mould in the Hasbro range; naturally, Luke is one of them.

The Bushwhackers were re-released separately in 1994, when the duo's relevance in the promotion had almost entirely evaporated. This time, their outfits had been repainted in a more fetching tan, and the two came equipped with whimsical little berets as accoutrements.

But hold the bloody phone, mates! There's MORE! (I promise, this is exciting). I didn't even realise until recently, assuming they were nothing more than repaints, but the heads of the two Bushwhackers have been exchanged in some sort of freakish Frankenstein-esque experiment, meaning Butch is now the one performing that aforementioned 'unique' action. It's enough to make you drop your tin of sardines.

Benjamin was born in 1987, and is still not dead. He variously enjoys classical music, old-school adventure games (they're not dead), and walks on the beach (albeit short - asthma, you know). He's currently trying to compile a comprehensive history of video game music, yet denies accusations that he purposefully targets niche audiences. He's often wrong about these things.
