10 Most Boring Wrestlers Of 2022

6. Jake Hager

He really likes that hat.

Can silly little incidental gimmicks get over in wrestling? Yes, yes they can. Will Jake Hager adoring a purple bucket hat be the next surprise smash hit in AEW circles though? No, probably not. Sadly, it's all the former Jack Swagger has going for him on Dynamite and Rampage these days.

Hager has been Chris Jericho's bodyguard in both The Inner Circle and the Jericho Appreciation Society. His role is to stand around looking mean, then bail his mate out when babyfaces start getting the upper hand on him. Rinse, repeat and oh yeah - he really likes that hat.

There's nothing to Jake's character beyond that. The dude doesn't even strike home runs as an occasional in-ring attraction anymore either. Indeed, to back that point up, Hager's only singles win in 2022 was a three minute win over Bryce Donovan on the 22 November edition of 'C' show Dark.
