10 Most Boring WWE Wrestlers Of 2019

2. Sonya Deville

Who is Sonya Deville, and why should fans greet her like a major star? That's a question WWE's writers need to ask themselves. They also need to remember that not many who tune into SmackDown regularly check out episodes of Total Divas, and that means they don't have any clue about why Deville is in the company or what her goals are.

Right now, she's Mandy Rose's pal and shows halfhearted support for her sexuality by stuffing a rainbow-coloured flag down the back of her ring gear. Yay?

This complete lack of context and depth is on WWE more than Sonya. She's armed with a story and has MMA roots, but she's never once been given the same respect as fellow warriors Ronda Rousey or Shayna Baszler. Using that as motivation would make sense. Instead, she's shown reading magazines backstage.

Deville doesn't come across as a threat to the bigger stars in the female ranks, she's infrequently portrayed as anything other than a childish bully and the whole LGBTQ thing is woefully half-baked when it could garner mainstream press and positive PR.
