2. The Boogeyman

"I'm the Boogeyman, and I'm coming to get you," is a catchphrase that few will ever forget. The Boogeyman was never treated very seriously as a top threat in WWE, yet there was always a sharp intake of breath whenever he gyrated violently or consumed another gut full of live worms.

For the avoidance of any doubt, those worms were not fake. In other words, Boogeyman was actually eating the annelids on live television like they were popcorn, a move that instantly disgusted fans around ringside and put everyone off their overpriced hot dogs. Add face paint, twisted facial expressions, and childlike fear into the mix and he was very effective.

Much like Papa Shango, The Boogeyman has become more infamous after his run than during it. Marty Wright (no relation to Charles), must have loved scaring the pants off of fans each time he showed up to smash another clock over his head. Those worms though, was there really any need?
