10 Most Cringeworthy WWE Backstage Segments

1. Father & Daughter

Flexing her acting muscles long before she actually had any, Stephanie McMahon's (hopefully) unintentional injection of sexual tension into a brief backstage tête-à-tête with father Vince added an incestuous air to a routine re-book midway through an April 2000 edition of Monday Night Raw.

Stephanie campaigned for Triple H to take Vince and Shane's place in a match with The Rock after 'The Great One' had dropped her with a Rock Bottom, but the manner in which she made her request bordered on the perverse. Vince didn't help matters, staring deep into her eyes before sharing a kiss on the lips with his daughter that lingered long enough for the audience to audibly gasp and groan at what appeared to be an accidental implication of something very wrong indeed.

It's not something the company were looking to portray at the time, but it infamously became part of The Chairman's agenda years later when McMahon and by-then real husband Triple H fell pregnant with their first child. Stephanie was, in reality, far less keen than she looked just a few years earlier.
