10 Most Cursed WWE Images Of 2020

9. McIntyre's Big Moment Isn't What It Should Have Been

Drew McIntyre was absolutely a worthy choice for champion, and his time holding the belt has been some of 2020’s best material. He rarely had a bad match, grew into the top spot over the year, and benefitted from better booking than most WWE Champions over the past few years.

It’s nothing short of devastating, though, that McIntyre was forced to win the title, and thus far exclusively defend it without a baying crowd. It was apparent upon his Rumble win that he was a hugely popular, deserving pick for the ‘Mania spot, and if anyone merited a raucous audience to witness his ascension to the top, it’s Drew.

The bright spot is that WWE evidently believes in the Scottish psychopath as champ, and so no doubt he’ll get to parade his gold in a packed arena one of these days, but you never forget your first. His match with Lesnar was all explosive action of the nature a crowd would have lapped up. Playing to dead silence, it felt a bit lacklustre.

Here’s hoping the crowd make up for lost time when they finally give Drew the acclaim he has coming to him.
