WWE's Performance Center PPVs may not be the most fondly remembered aspect of 2020, but the intimate setting did still manage to offer up a few dramatic moments that left fans wincing from the comfort of their own homes.

One of these sickening events went down during the horrifically titled The Horror Show at Extreme Rules in July. In a match involving SmackDown Tag Team Champions The New Day defending their belts against Cesaro & Shinsuke Nakamura, the challengers looked to be heading for defeat as the Tables encounter reached its climax.

However, Kofi Kingston's attempts to flip Cesaro through two stacked tables on the outside of the ring were soon stifled by Nakamura. The former WWE Champion was then brutally powerbombed through the collection of wood from the top turnbuckle, a move that created a seriously disturbing sound that was only amplified by the lack of a capacity crowd.

It's fair to say that most fans have tried to forget about the frustrating amount of hours they were forced to spend in the PC during the early days of this unprecedented global event. But, this particularly gruesome spot reminded us that wrestling could still be dangerous, and downright barbaric, regardless of whether it was going down in front of a sold-out audience or a bunch of worn-out trainees.
