4. Shawn Michaels Superkicks Shelton Benjamin's Head Off (2 May 2005)
Aside from this being one of the greatest matches to occur at the tail end of Michaels' career, his match with Shelton Benjamin provided what is unquestionably the greatest Superkick the Heartbreak Kid has ever executed. By the time HBK fought Benjamin in 2005, he'd performed the Sweet Chin Music roughly, I dunno, 8 million times? Yet, even a guy who's spent three decades perfecting a sidekick to the face has to find it difficult to not knock somebody's head clean off when that person is launching himself across the ring, into said kick, at full speed.
Benjamin springboards off the tope rope, arms flailing, shooting directly into Shawn's extended boot. How do you pull that kick? And if you're Benjamin, how do you hope to get your hands in front of your face in time? It was a move that rivals any RKO for the "holy hell, WHERE DID THAT COME FROM?" factor.
