10 Most Death-Defying Jeff Hardy Stunts
4. Leap Frog Leg Drop Over Ladder Through Announce Table - Smackdown 2001
True WWE legends are innovators, and there may not have been a more innovative match, pound for pound, during the Attitude Era than the tag team ladder match between Edge & Christian and The Hardy Boyz at No Mercy 1999, which was a complete deviation from what anyone else was doing in the WWE at that time.
That's where Jeff Hardy debuted some truly breathtaking spots that made the world collectively gasp and scream at their televisions, "WHO DOES SH*T LIKE THAT??". Perhaps the finest of which found Jeff standing atop the turnbuckle with an upright ladder positioned in front of him and his opponent, Christian, sprawled out on the mat.
In one smooth motion, he leapfrogs over the ladder and delivers a killer leg drop. It received one of the biggest pops of the evening due to its Rube Goldberg-ian nature. But being the innovator he is, he one-upped himself in a big way about a year later on an episode of Smackdown.
This time, he was standing atop a regular-sized ladder, with an even bigger ladder positioned in front of him. And his fallen opponent wasn't on the mat, but an announce table.
It was f*cking epic.
