10 Most Disappointing Nights In WWE History

1. Invasion

The best thing about Invasion was the event's promotional poster, which featured a super creepy picture of Shane McMahon morphing into his old man like something out of a 1970s sci-fi movie.

The show, however, was almost entirely bereft of redeeming features, its only rewatchable match being the mid-card Hardcore Title clash between Rob Van Dam and Jeff Hardy (and even that only lasted a meagre 12 minutes).

Here's how bad it got: the night's second bout was contested by two referees, WWF's Earl Hebner and Hulk Hogan's number one fan Nick Patrick of WCW. They actually brought Mick Foley in as the special guest official as well, apparently convinced that this - and not the main event - was the best use of his talents.

The headline Inaugural Brawl wasn't exactly terrible, but it was nothing to write home about either. Nobody bought the idea that the five guys that fought on the side of The Alliance represented the best of WCW and ECW, and nobody cared that Stone Cold had defected. Moreover, neither Goldberg nor the nWo rocked up at the last-second, which means you wasted your money.
