A ton of fans dropped more f-bombs than they'd care to admit when Charlotte Flair went over Rhea Ripley to become new NXT Women's Champion at WrestleMania. Meanwhile, others (like this guy) tried to calm fears by pointing out that Charlotte's star power would only enhance NXT as a weekly sensation.

It didn't.

If anything, Flair carried herself like she was above the entire brand and superior to every other woman on it. The problem with that is that she should've been discussing how NXT had some of the best workers around, and that's why she was proud to be champ in the first place; oddly, WWE let Charlotte be honest about this in media interviews, yet had her talk down to everyone in storyline.

This created a weird schism, and it slowly crushed excitement for the reign. Ripley has been damaged by Flair's fleeting move to NXT too - her own star power didn't heighten once Charlotte got involved, which is surely the exact opposite of what WWE should've wanted
