Rhea Ripley will recover, but Ricochet might not.

Last year, the high-flyer was a glittering diamond on Paul Heyman's Monday night tapestry. When he wasn't working out the kinks in his (admittedly limited) promo game, Ricochet was making slack jaws slacker by busting out some of the most amazing spots you're ever likely to see.

Then, reports surfaced that McMahon didn't think he was the answer and Ricochet's push suddenly stopped. By Super ShowDown in February, he was jobbing for Brock Lesnar in less than two minutes and forming tag-teams with other once-promising, forgotten men like Cedric Alexander.

The speed with which WWE discarded Ricochet's potential was frightening. He was getting over with fans for his matches, and only needed more time to see if he could develop the personality Vince so loves. Patience wasn't on the agenda though, and it's why Ricochet is where he is.
