3. Paul Heyman's Raw Run Ends Miserably

Flash back to last summer when WWE proudly announced that Paul Heyman and Eric Bischoff would take the helm on Raw and SmackDown respectively. The entire wrestling world was shook, and most wore grins a mile wide at the thought of how Heyman might book Monday nights.

The experiment is over, and it wasn't quite the freedom ring some hoped.

Instead, Heyman was quietly removed from his power position on Raw earlier this month and will appear exclusively as an on-air talent from now on. Bischoff didn't even last that long, and now Bruce Prichard calls the shots on both major brands. This is a quite miserable end to something so encouraging.

Of course, not everything Paul touched was golden on Raw. He presided over 'Attitude'-soaked angles like the Mike and Maria Kanellis business and the Rusev/Lana/Bobby Lashley love triangle. Even so, he did try to place emphasis on younger talents (see entry five) and give everyone a role on the show, and it's frustrating to think what might've been.
