10 Most Disappointing WWE Moments Of 2020 (So Far)
2. Goldberg Destroys The 'Fiend'
Bray Wyatt is one hell of a patient, understanding dude. That's the only rationale for why he wouldn't flip, crotch chop and tell WWE to 'suck it' after years of mismanagement. Bray successfully reinvented himself as the 'Fiend' last year, had some hiccups and then...more hiccups in 2020.
Gooooooooooldberg.
At Super ShowDown, it was depressing to watch as Wyatt's fearsome character lost to Bill Goldberg in less than three minutes. The match was one of the worst pay-per-view offerings from the first half of the year, and it added another dark cloud over Bray's head - he'd be forgiven for wondering why this keeps happening to him.
As much as this writer adored Goldberg as a child in WCW, it's true that he has no place as a character-destroying bad ass in WWE today. Whomever first envisioned a world in which Bill squashes the 'Fiend', so he can have a short title reign himself, needs a slap.
