10 Most Disastrous Wrestling Heel Turns

5. Rikishi

Rikishi ran over Stone Cold at Survivor Series 1999, to help his cousin reach the top of the card, on the instruction of Triple H. On this evidence, it seems not even he believed that his heel turn was anything more than a convenient WWE plot device.

It became even more clear over subsequent months that the company had very little planned for the former Too Cool member. He briefly flirted with the main event, including an unlikely spot in Armageddon 2000's six-man headline match, but fell sharply back down the card thereafter.

He didn't even get much of a rub from being associated with The Rock, who showed surprisingly little gratitude to a distant cousin he had never previously interacted with in front of the cameras (things probably would have been different if it was Roman Reigns).

Eventually, Rikishi transitioned back into a good guy after performing a fully warranted Stink Face on Stephanie McMahon during a May 2001 episode of Raw. Not long after that, he reunited with Scotty 2 Hotty, putting him in exactly the same spot he occupied before.
