10 Most Effective Valets In WWE History
3. Lita
There are two very distinct eras of Lita as a valet in WWE.
As she did with so many other elements of the business, Lita revolutionized the role of a valet. While they were traditionally secondary to male superstars, accompanying them to the ring and occasionally getting involved, she would get heavily involved in the action going on inside, and around, the squared circle.
She debuted in WWE as the manager of Essa Rios, launching herself off the top rope with moonsaults and headscissors, mimicking the death-defying maneuvers her charge executed. When that pairing went south, she aligned herself with The Hardy Boyz and became one-third of the thrilling Team Extreme.
Together, that trio would rise to immense popularity, earning some of the loudest pops of the night and mainstream advertising opportunities. The most popular female Superstar in professional wrestling, she picked up where Sunny left off in terms of forever changing what a woman was capable of in WWE.
It was not until she turned heel and evolved into the "Sinister Sexpot" to Edge's "Rated R Superstar" that she became a real, honest-to-goodness valet. She was sneaky, cunning and did not hesitate to interfere if it meant securing her man's win.
She excelled in the role and, like Stephanie McMahon, became incredibly important to the overall success of Edge's main event act.
In 2014, Lita was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame, her influence undeniable. For every moonsault and championship that contibuted to her earning her that honour, though, her effect on the Edge character during her days as a valet was, in some ways, perhaps even more impressive.
