10 Most Embarrassing Wrestling Botches Of 2018 (So Far)

5. Twist Of... What?! (WWE SmackDown - 26 June)

Neither Hardy Boy has has looked great in 2018. Matt's Deleters of World tag team is moderately entertaining, but he's a shadow of his former self between the ropes, and now moves around the ring like a broken action figure with superglued limbs. Jeff, meanwhile, is still capable of delivering the odd euphoric flurry, but is too beaten up to soar like he used to, with this year yielding several tired performances that suggest his ageing body needs a long break.

This one was as much Jeff's fault as it was his opponent's, as him and Eric Young made a meal of the Twist Of Fate while competing on SmackDown.

Unfortunately, this botch was the only notable event in a stodgy, listless match. Hardy abandoned his first Twist attempt when EY wasn't correctly positioned. He couldn't quite get his hands around the Sanity man's head on the second attempt either, so when the then-US Champion hit the deck, he did so on his own.

Eric then flopped down to the ground and snapped himself backwards as if Hardy had a hold of him all along, creating another unintentionally hilarious visual.
