10 Most Epic Debuts At WWE PPVs

4. Big Show - St. Valentine's Day Massacre 1999

The Big Show was one of many WWE debutants who benefited from a prior run in another promotion. But don€™t let that take anything away from the big man, as his debut would have been just as special regardless of his earlier past. Having left the sinking ship that was WCW, the Big Show€™s arrival in the WWE was announced at the St. Valentine's Day Massacre: In Your House PPV of 1999. Interrupting the cage match between Steve Austin and Vince McMahon, Big Show literally tore through the ring canvass to take down Austin. Sure, we€™ve seen that kind of thing since in the WWE, but at the time it was totally unexpected and one of the most impactful ways to introduce a new face. He proceeded to toss Austin around the cage a few times, before helping the boss get back to his feet, thus emphasizing his allegiances. Of course, Show went on to throw Austin into the cage once more, causing it to break and enabling the Rattlesnake to escape and pick up the win. But don€™t let the result detract from the initial impact of Show€™s emergence, not to mention the fact that this was another example of a WCW talent switching sides to the rejuvenated WWE.
