10 Most Epic Debuts At WWE PPVs

3. Kane - Bad Blood 1997

Breaking through the ring to announce your arrival is certainly one way to grab peoples€™ attention. But you may say Kane had already gone one better than that wth his debut at Badd Blood: In Your House 1997. Crashing the first ever Hell in a Cell match between the Undertaker and Shawn Michaels, Kane emerged to the chilling tune of a pipe organ and under a spooky reddish hue. The monster of a man then seized the cell door and ripped it from its hinges before finally confronting the Undertaker. Engulfing the ring in flames with his trademark arm-raise-and-drop, Kane then stole the Undertaker€™s very own move as he drove his €œbrother€ into the canvass with Tombstone Piledriver. Much like the debut of the Deadman, this was a supernatural-type gimmick which many may have scoffed at, but for the sheer size and physicality of the Big Red Machine€”not to mention the impressive production value for the time. It was a hugely effective debut for another of the company€™s most dominant stars, while it also provided us with another gem of commentary from Vince McMahon: €œThat€™s gotta be Kane!€ Indeed it is Vince, you did sign the man after all.
