10 Most Epic WWE Debuts Ever
5. Tazz (WWE Royal Rumble 2000)
Several great superstars have made their inaugural WWE appearance at the expense of Kurt Angle, and while Tazz may not have had as successful a WWE career as John Cena, his debut was arguably much more impressive than The Champ's.
Up until this point, Kurt Angle was unbeaten in WWE, after being pushed for several weeks as a legitimately proficient amateur wrestler and bonafide Olympian. Considering his initial wins in WWE and his accomplishments outside of it, the idea of Kurt being beaten seemed rather unlikely to fans at the 2000 Royal Rumble. But in the opening match of the night, Kurt Angle urged his mystery opponent to "consider your three I's, come on out here, and give it your all."
He wasn't expecting "all" to come in the form of the 'Human Suplex Machine' Tazz, who was greeted with a thunderous ovation from his hometown Madison Square Garden crowd. As one of few superstars in WWE history who could out-suplex and out-submit the Olympic Hero, Tazz's debut marked him for great things, and while his in-ring career inside WWE may not have amounted to much, his introduction is one of the most well-received in the last twenty years.
