10 Most Exciting Run-ins In WWE History
8. The NWo And D-Generation X (WrestleMania 31)
Here we have an entry that makes this list purely for the glorious nostalgia factor.
Back at WrestleMania 31, in Triple H’s long-awaited meeting with Sting, the Game found himself in trouble. So it’s a good job he made his fair share of friends over the course of his career. In this instance, it would be his former D-Generation X cronies of the late ‘90s who would come to Triple H’s aid.
X-Pac, Road Dogg and Billy Gunn each stormed the ring to provide us with a very welcome trip down memory lane. Of course, this made things a tad unfair, and before long we found ourselves gifted a second blast from the past as the nWo decided to level the playing field and lend their services to Sting.
The original lineup - Kevin Nash, Scott Hall and Hulk Hogan - sauntered to the ring as cool as ever, before engaging their DX adversaries in the middle of the WrestleMania ramp.
Sure, this confrontation was about 15 years too late, but seeing DX and the nWo finally going toe-to-toe made for an awesome WrestleMania moment. Plus, there was still time for a cameo appearance from Shawn Michaels, in perhaps the most star-studded run-in of all time.
