10 Most Expensive Wrestling Moves Ever

5. Sid's Sin Stunt Shatters Shin

The injury suffered by Sid Vicious at WCW Sin in 2001 is one that still puts a knot in your stomach to this very day.

Live on PPV, the Master and Ruler of the World jumped from the second turnbuckle as he attempted to land a flying big boot to Scott Steiner. In an utterly gross moment, Sid's left buckled and bent in half upon landing on the mat - a fracture in his shin causing his lower leg to veer off in a sickeningly different direction to the rest of the limb.

WCW would only be in existence for a further few months at this point - for two more PPVs, to be precise - but nobody knew this at the time. Regardless, given his spot in the World Title picture at the time of his injury, Sid would've been on those PPVs if he were healthy, and he likely would have been around the main events of those shows.

Missing those PPVs in of itself meant the four-time World Champion lost out on bonuses. More than that, Vicious would never wrestle full-time again. Given how Vince McMahon was always a fan of Sid and his vascular physique - as anyone who's ever listened to Something to Wrestle will attest - one has to imagine that Vicious had a likelihood of one last run with McMahon's promotion if that injury didn't occur.
