10 Most Extreme WWE Risk Takers This Century

9. CM Punk

It wouldn't be a WWE-related list without a reference to CM Punk in this day and age, would it? Like him or loathe him, there's little doubting that Punk is one of the biggest risk takers of recent years. Punk may forever be remembered by many WWE fans for his actions on the microphone rather than in the ring, but the real reason CM Punk first became a household name is because of his attitude to wrestling. He's a guy who understands what the fans want when it comes to in-ring action - entertainment and drama, mostly. A look back at his two Money in the Bank victories tell you all you need to know about that - particularly his victory at WrestleMania 25. There's an incredible moment where Punk gets dropped off the top of a ladder by Christian in an astonishing manner, and it was a real iconic Money in the Bank moment. He may never come back to the WWE, but CM Punk should definitely go down as one of the biggest risk takers the company has seen in recent years.
