WWE: 10 Most Famous Loser Leaves Town Retirement Matches
9. Ric Flair vs. Vader (Starrcade 1993)
In the early 1990s the man formerly known as "Baby Bull" Leon White was wreaking havoc on the ranks of World Championship Wrestling. Incredibly agile for a man of his tremendous size, the 6'5", 450 lb. behemoth was on a tear and by 1993 had become the top heel in the company. His challenger for WCW's annual extravaganza that year was a man who was not used to being the one without the strap around his waist. Originally Vader was set to face Sid Vicious at Starrcade, but due to the infamous brawl between he and Arn Anderson that led to the scissor stabbing, Vicious was fired and the Nature Boy was inserted into the spot. http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x1l6j3_ric-flair-vs-vader-starrcade-93-par_sport Flair offered to put his career on the line to get the mastodon's attention, and the champ took him up on the offer. The main event was set, title vs. career in Flair's hometown of Charlotte. He wasn't used to playing the babyface but didn't miss a beat as David attempted to slay Harley Race's Goliath. A missed moonsault and a botched interference attempt led to Flair pinning the monster for the championship, much to the delight of the North Carolina fans.
