10 Most Feel-Good Title Wins In Wrestling
5. Eddie Guerrero (WWE No Way Out 2004)
Eddie Guerrero, one of the industry's most iconic wrestlers, winning his first and only world title remains a special moment to this day. It is arguably one of the most shocking title wins ever too, as he defeated the unstoppable Brock Lesnar during his first run in WWE just before 'The Next Big Thing' disappeared from the company for almost a decade.
'Latino Heat' had always been admired for his charm, charisma, and technical ability, but had never been pushed as a main event star in either WCW or WWE. That was until Guerrero won a battle royal that gave him the opportunity to face the dominant champion, Lesnar, at No Way Out 2004.
It was great to see the former United States and Intercontinental Champion in a world title fight in the first place, but having him defeat the 'Beast Incarnate' was inspired. Brock was on his way out of the company so dropping the belt was necessary, but choosing Eddie to carry the torch into WrestleMania 20 was a rewarding decision for the performer and fans alike.
Guerrero had worked his way back to the top of the industry by gaining an overwhelming amount of fan support.
