10 Most Flamboyant Wrestling Characters That Made Fans Cringe

1. 'Mr. Ass' Billy Gunn

The lyrics of Billy Gunn's most famous entrance theme will never be forgotten. Lines such as, 'I'm an ass man' were instantly recognisable, but later lyrics were pretty embarrassing. 'I love to love 'em, I love to kick 'em, I love to shove 'em, I love to stick 'em', was the kind of poetry fans could expect from the music. Unbelievably, 'Mr. Ass' as he was known was supposed to be a babyface. This despite the fact that he openly talked about his 'perfect' behind, and waved it in the direction of fans. An earlier WCW character played by Ed Leslie, known as 'The Booty Man' had featured a similar concept. Gunn's big singles run in the Summer of 1999 wouldn't last long, but he did win that year's King Of The Ring tournament. As a tag-wrestler, Billy was better suited, forming 'The New Age Outlaws' alongside Road Dogg. Initially, he was known as 'Bad Ass' Billy Gunn, until the whole 'Mr. Ass' scenario was thought up by creative. Fans who bought WWF: The Music Volume 4 must have cringed whenever 'Ass Man' came on.
