10 Most Glaringly Obvious WCW Pushes That Never Happened

6. Raven

Creating the persona for use in ECW, Scott Levy discarded the Johnny Polo character he had played in the WWF, instead morphing into the brooding, instantly intriguing gimmick of Raven. ECW was the perfect place for Levy to grow the mystery of Raven, becoming one of the biggest stars in Paul Heyman's extreme league. Joining WCW in 1997, Levy continued using the Raven shtick, and even though it directly contrasted with pretty much everything else going on in the company, the guy would become a solid addition to the upper mid card, capturing the United States Championship and even holding the WCW Tag-Team Titles with Perry Saturn. Feuding with everyone from DDP to Goldberg, Raven seemed to be heading for at least a chance in the main event mix. Such a push would sadly never come, probably due to the dominating influence of the New World Order. It seemed like little more than bad timing for Raven in WCW, and he'd be back in ECW by 1999.
