10 Most Glaringly Obvious WCW Pushes That Never Happened
4. Chris Jericho
Not surprisingly, the outspoken Chris Jericho has never been the most reserved when asked his thoughts on why he was never afforded the chance to be a top star in World Championship Wrestling. Even now, after all the success the man has experienced in WWE and with his rock band Fozzy, Jericho begrudges his treatment in Atlanta. Mainly used as a mid-card attraction, Jericho was angered by Bill Goldberg's apparent refusal to work a lengthy rivalry with him in WCW. The pair would finally tangle in WWE, both backstage for real and inside the ring, but in Y2J's opinion, the clashes should have happened a lot earlier. Realising that he wasn't going to "break the glass ceiling" in the company, Jericho decided to explore his options of joining the WWF. Unsurprisingly, management at Titan Towers were interested, and the rest is pretty much history for the Canadian star. It's utterly gripping to read Jericho speak about his time in WCW during his books, even more so because a series of promos the man recorded were done with very little input from the promotion itself!
