Things change all the time in WWE, but there's one constant - the Royal Rumble is always entertaining. For 60 or so minutes every year, fans are guaranteed an exciting string of action and surprises that sets the stage for WrestleMania... except in 2015.

That year, fans were very vocal about the fact that they didn't want to see Roman Reigns - who was in line for a huge push - win the Rumble. They held out hope that Daniel Bryan, who had returned from a career-threatening injury weeks earlier, could pull out a victory, going back to WrestleMania in an attempt to reclaim his title.

Bryan ended up unceremoniously eliminated by Bray Wyatt after being in the match for about 10 minutes, and the Philadelphia crowd was livid. Vince McMahon had clearly hoped that the audience would get the booing out of their systems by the time Roman Reigns entered, but fans just got angrier.

By the end of the uncharacteristically boring Rumble, The Big Show and Kane had squashed other fan favorites Dolph Ziggler and Dean Ambrose, and fans were desperate to see someone besides Reigns win. Even after The Rock interfered on Reigns's behalf, fans cheered for Rusev to score the upset. That didn't happen, and the 2015 Royal Rumble stands out as a true failure.
