Having split for real behind the scenes, Savage and Liz had also been divided on television, but 'Mania VII would represent a real opportunity for mass celebration. After Savage had lost a "Retirement" match against The Ultimate Warrior - one which surprised many by virtue of its quality - Elizabeth entered the ring. Having watched from ringside with worry in her eyes, Gorilla Monsoon on commentary repeatedly hinted that she was still in love with "her man", Randy.
