Listening to Jake 'The Snake' Roberts speak on the podcast of legendary announcer Jim Ross is quite harrowing in many ways, simply because Roberts is incredibly candid about the dark place he was at in his life before one Diamond Dallas Page stepped in and offered him redemption. As recently as 2012, there were fears over the man's life, and he tells Ross that he genuinely wanted to curl up and die. Thankfully, this is where Page intervened, inviting Roberts to move in with him and taking steps to turn his entire life around. The change in Jake Roberts from 2012 to the present day is mind-blowing - not only does the man look healthier, but he seems to be in a much better place mentally, and even talked about making a WWE comeback in 2014. Expressly stating time and time again that DDP saved his life, a lot of longtime wrestling fans have been very much pleased to see Jake manage to turn things around, because there was a time when he seemed destined for the grave. There have been relapses, but DDP has been golden for Roberts, and it's been heartwarming to see him look happy for the first time in years.
