5. His Royal Rumble 2015 Elimination

It doesn't take a genius to figure out that eliminating Daniel Bryan early on in this year's Royal Rumble was a ploy by the WWE to avoid fans cheering for him over Roman Reigns. Unsurprisingly, their plan backfired as the rowdy Philadelphia crowd were left incensed by the decision to have Bryan taken out in such a quick and ultimately meaningless way. Fans would have no doubt been just as annoyed if Roman had won after eliminating Bryan, but at least Bryan could have gone down fighting. Instead, he was knocked off the apron just like any number of jobbers whose elimination you forgot thirty seconds after it happened. This killed the excitement surrounding his return to the WWE at the time. It also had absolutely no pay off which didn't help. As a result, it ultimately just feels like yet another way that those behind the scenes decided to punish both Bryan and his fans.
