4. Alundra Blayze / Madusa

Alundra Blayze was everything a wrestling company could want out of a female in-ring performer. She was tall, beautiful and could really put it together when she stepped through the ropes. The former Madusa was so talented that the WWE chose to bring back its Womens Championship and make Blayze the centrepiece of the division. Blayze would engage in feuds with top performers who plied their trade in Japan at the time, including the likes of Bull Nakano and Monster Ripper, who would be rebranded as Bertha Faye in a ridiculous decision that completely failed to demonstrate the obvious talents that Monster Ripper had demonstrated in Japan. After becoming a three-time Womens Champion, Blayze was released from her contract and quickly signed by WCW in December 1995. This sort of thing was par for the course during the Monday Night Wars, however this time was a little different. Blayze still had the Womens Championship belt with her when she inked the contract with WCW. After asking Bischoff if she should return the belt he managed to convince her to bring it on WCW television and dump it in a trashcan live on Monday Nitro. It was one of the most damaging shots of the early wars and should have set the stage for the rechristened Madusa to make waves in WCW. Though that didnt quite happen, that moment alone was one of the most important of the era.
