10 Most Important Off-Screen WWE Personnel

3. Mark Carrano

WWE SQUAD!
E! Network

If not some sort of tabloid campaign, you'll probably recognise the doughy face of Mark Carrano from E!'s virtual 'reality' monstrosity Total Divas, where he often crops up to lech at WWE's women and generally act a bit creepy.

His actual role within WWE is as Senior Director of Talent Relations, a fairly thankless task which involves taking responsibility for disciplining and dismissing talent. Effectively, he's squeezed into an old Terry Gordy outfit as WWE's hatchet man, the same job occupied by John Laurinaitis, and before him, Jim Ross. There are certain similarities between the three.

Naturally, he's earned some enemies in the role. Ryback, reflecting how Carrano sardonically texted him about the weather at a WWE show the day after he walked out on the company, described him as a "douchebag". Harsh words.

Benjamin was born in 1987, and is still not dead. He variously enjoys classical music, old-school adventure games (they're not dead), and walks on the beach (albeit short - asthma, you know). He's currently trying to compile a comprehensive history of video game music, yet denies accusations that he purposefully targets niche audiences. He's often wrong about these things.
