From 'turn off the TV' heat to someone you actually enjoy watching in the ring, Carmella's ascension over the last 12 months has been staggering. It looks like the Princess of Staten Island's real-life friendship with queen of the ring Bayley is paying off. Being at the side of Enzo Amore for much of her run to date means that the mic work and energy was always there with Carmella, so it's not her gimmick that brings her to the dance on this occasion. Although, the fact that the NXT Universe no longer boos her after inexplicably doing so for a prolonged period of time cannot be ignored. It's testament to the woman that even though she has been booked to lose more times than she would care to mention on NXT over the last year that she's still so popular. If NXT gave her the ball we could have a new contender to challenge Bayley for the Women's Championship in the coming months. The more we see her in the ring, the better she will become. She's proven that she is a learner and can take on new information for the betterment of her in-ring arsenal. The way things are shaping up she will be a main roster call up in the middle-to-end of 2016. Plus, she can moonwalk in the ring. That alone is enough for me, at least...
