10 Most Ineffectual WWE Authority Figures

8. Brad Maddox

Brad Maddox was first introduced to the WWE Universe as a crooked referee trying to make a name for himself by costing Ryback his Hell in a Cell match with CM Punk in 2012. He continually tried to persuade Vickie Guerrero to give him a contract, but was always tasked with defeating the likes of Randy Orton to earn his keep. In February 2013, Maddox was named Assistant Raw Managing Supervisor by Vickie Guerrero as a reward for revealing The Shield€™s collusion with Paul Heyman. After Vickie was fired following a fan vote, Maddox was promoted to the General Manager of Raw, just in time for the title to become effectively meaningless. As General Manager of Raw, Maddox was trapped between Vince McMahon and Triple H over whether Daniel Bryan was worthy to challenge John Cena for the WWE Championship. After Triple H and Stephanie McMahon took over as The Authority, Maddox remained General Manager, but existed solely to carry out the whims of his bosses. Maddox was fired for assigning The Shield roles at ringside after they were previously banned by The Authority. He€™s made sporadic appearances at live events and on the WWE App, but has yet to appear on WWE TV since mid-May.
