In the early 1990s, Big Van Vader was the most feared heel in WCW. Not only was he a monster of a man but he had a reputation as one of the toughest men in the business as well. Paul Orndorff was also a tough guy but was forced to retire due to injury and was working as a backstage agent for WCW. You wouldn't think that an aging, retired wrestler could take on the biggest, baddest heel in the business but you'd be wrong.

The story goes that Vader was running late during a TV taping and Orndorff, needing to get some promos recorded, told his to hurry up. Vader quickly got into Orndorff's face about it and Paul, not afraid of anyone, practically begged Vader to do something about it.

Allegedly, Vader shoved Orndorff in the chest, sending him to the ground. Orndorff responded by jumping to his feet and hitting Vader in the face with a big, overhand right to the face. Orndorff, who was wearing flip flops at the time, started literally stomping the hell out of Vader until everyone ran in to break it up.

After getting beaten up by a retired wrestler, Vader claimed he didn't fight back because he was worried he might get fired to hitting an agent. Honestly though, that sounds like an excuse the schoolyard bully would come up with after getting his face stomped in by a guy wearing flip flops.
