10 Most Infamous Times Wrestlers Fell On Their Ass

7. Randy Orton Whiffs On An RKO

Randy Orton is as precise a worker as there is in WWE. Everything he does is done with great calculation, really playing up the snake-like tendencies in case you had not already concluded as much from the Viper nickname the commentary spouts every five minutes of his match.

Before he perfected his craft and developed into one of the really great, underrated technicians of his generation, Orton was greener than goose turds, which is not necessarily great when you are routinely sharing the ring with the likes of Ric Flair, Chris Jericho and Rob Van Dam.

On the January 26, 2004 episode of Raw, Orton teamed with Flair and Batista to battle Jericho and Van Dam. He would have a key role late in the match where he was to deliver an RKO to secure the win.

Except, he totally whiffed the RKO and dropped hard on his back and ass, while Jericho maintained control of his submission hold.

It was an embarrassing moment for a young star that was already poised for enormous things.

Luckily for him and the company, he would overcome the flub and be just fine, to the tune of 13 world titles.
