10 Most Infamous WWE Royal Rumble Controversies

1. Brock Lesnar & The Bro (2020)

Brock Lesnar Matt Riddle

Riddle might be one of the most polarising stars WWE has in 2021.

The 'Bro' has had well-publicised problems with Bill Goldberg, but he also shared a short, tense exchange with none other than Brock Lesnar before last year's Rumble pay-per-view went live. Somewhat remarkably, it was Lesnar who kicked it off by approaching Riddle, putting his hand on his shoulder and saying he'd never work with him.

Brock was seemingly unhappy that Riddle was repeatedly talking about him in the media, and he wanted to remind the relative WWE newcomer that they'd never do business together. According to reports, Riddle took this in his stride and tried to thrash things out with the passing 'Beast'.

Said 'Beast' wasn't too interested.

He'd said his piece, and moved on. It's interesting that WWE kept Brock and Riddle separate come Rumble time later too; Lesnar had already been eliminated by the time his erm... chum came out at #23 in the match.
