10 Most Influential British Wrestlers Ever (According To An American)

2. Big Daddy

One of the strangest dichotomies in wrestling is how someone can be hugely influential and ungodly popular without actually being, well, any good at all between the ropes. Big Daddy is the second name on this list to embody this curious juxtaposition.

Big Daddy was a man whose stature in the industry was matched only by his imposing stature in the ring.

Big Daddy wrestled for over 40 years and built a name for himself as a charismatic villain, then later turned babyface during wars with the likes of fellow A-list member Giant Haystacks.

These days, we're used to our giants being taller rather than fatter, so when we imagine Haystacks and Big Daddy, we're more likely to think of Big Daddy V and ECW's Monsters Ball snorefest than an engaging bout between super-heavyweights.

But Big Daddy wielded personality and girth with equal aplomb to become a legendary big man and a marquee-worthy name.
