In fairness to poor Dale Torborg, he wasn't necessarily the one demanding that WCW push him to the moon as a main event star. Also, at least the KISS Demon was an in-ring worker. Ralphus, an overweight trucker Chris Jericho used as a "Personal Security" for a laugh, wasn't.

That didn't stop him from going to WCW management and insisting he deserved a talent contract.

According to Jericho on his podcast recently, Ralphus started showing up unannounced to house shows saying he should be involved. That was hilarious to Y2J, because he didn't quite see his comedy sidekick as crucial to his act. Ralphus did though, and he told Jericho that he was going to ask for a full-time deal.

Get this: he got one, and it was worth $78,000 per year. Not only that, Ralphus demanded $750 per appearance for making personal shots outside company programming, and he was guaranteed to get two per week. Apparently, there was a demand for Ralphus autograph signings in 1999.
